Corbin had succeeded politically by marrying the daughter of their neighboring territory and producing a male heir for the barony of the Black Eagle. He had grown up as an arrogant young man, as the chosen heir to the Black Eagle Alliance territory (amongst the 100+ kids that grew up at Fort Doom and Lion Castle). Despite his successful marriage, he still wanted to prove to everyone that he deserved his special place in society. Thus he organized his friends Nanocia, Kantik II, Nanoc II, and Banoc as the Black Eagle Alliance Knights and treated his own special team as superior to the various groups of Lion Knights that helped protect the region.

BEAK: [Module: Ravenloft “Neither Man nor Beast”]
Corbin’s team accepted a mission to bring a shipment to a wizard. They took the box with them and bought passage on the merchant ship The Sunset Empires. After days of being at sea a storm hit, followed by a kraken, and ultimately a shipwreck into hard rocks. Corbin, Nanocia, Kantik II, Banoc, and 3 of the sailors (Gondal, Jeb, and Marson) survived. After 3 days of island survival, the group encountered a bear-thing with ram horns and a human called “Dr. Fran” who gave them berries and invited them back to his manor.

For the next week Dr. Fran romanced Nanocia (painting a portrait of her, bonding with her, and ultimately making love to her) while his daughter Delphi seduced Banoc. Fran said he was trying to cure the natives of some curse and asked the team to go get a “Table of Life” from a nearby monastery. When they said they just wanted to find a way home, Dr. Fran had his servant put drugs in their food and thus captured the entire group. He turned out to be an evil man and the source of the “curse” on the locals. The team woke up tied up, watching him experiment on the 3 sailors. During the night, Delphi helped them escape via a hidden boat because she had fallen in love with Banoc; he convinced her to come with them. They sailed through another storm and eventually made their way home. Jeb decided to quit his sailor career and joined the adventuring group.

BEAK: [Modules: HHQ1-8 Challenge Series]
After a while both Nanocia and Delphi realized they were pregnant and decided to stay behind while the others went on some individual adventures.

*HHQ1: Jeb (the human fighter/former sailor) went to the village of Sturnheim to help recover the people’s stolen treasure. There, he ended up drinking with Coryn Potter the human fighter, Tregar Bittermouth the dwarf fighter, and Helak Jestverse the half-elf bard. The drinking buddies failed to stop 3 brigands from murdering an old man in an alley and stealing a stone sword, but they were quickly tracking the group. They fought jerlaines, rats, wererats, harpies, the bandits, and some duerger. Only Jeb survived so he decided to keep all the treasure for himself.

*HHQ2: Corbin (the human wizard) went to the village of Northbank to help them deal with a spectral wizard. He hired the mercenary fighter Darrin as a bodyguard and Joran the ranger as a guide. A wizard was murdered and another one kidnapped. In investigating Corbin’s team killed bugs, rats, scorpions, goblins, skeletons, and the spectral wizard.

*HHQ3: Banoc (the human thief) went to stop the Gullwing Bandit of Garlin. Fellow thief Kyma tagged along to search the nearby swamps, where they found Trevor Hawks (who only helped Banoc when Kyma agreed to leave since he was a psionicist and knew she had bad intentions). Hawks led Banoc to the Gullwing Bandit’s hideout. Banoc stealthed his way around and got the evidence that the bandit was the former region leader’s heir. He took the evidence back to the dwarf captain of the militia, who rewarded Banoc with 2,000 gp and a medal naming him a friend of the dwarves.

*HHQ4: Kantik II (human cleric) traveled to Pommeville where there were rumors of undead. Once in the town, Kantik recruited the local priests Montel and Nicholas, as well as the soldier Captain Miles and the wizard Reginald Runestave. Together they defeated about 75 zombies and a wight; unfortunately, only Kantik and Montel survived the battle. After that, the town’s other wizard (a woman named Celene) and the blacksmith joined the clerics to clear out the graveyard. As a team, they defeated: skeletons, shadows, more zombies, hecuevas, and Nedrezar’s phylactery. Again, only the clerics survived. Montel stayed to tend to the local church.

*HHQ5: On his way back, Jeb found a beautiful noble woman named Ariella locked in a tower. He killed the wyvern and 5 goblins, but instead of fighting Vorok the half-orc fighter Jeb used his treasure to hire him as a guard and help them on their way. Vorok helped Jeb and Ariella sneak their way past more dangers in the forest until they ran into 8 large spiders that killed Vorok. They rescued a human bard caught in the webs named Rhodoban. They found and recruited Marle the human ranger, who soon died while the group fought 12 goblins and a troll. A group of 3 bugbears ambushed them, killing the bard before Jeb could slay them. When they arrived at the outskirts of the village with Ariella’s family’s keep and noble estate, she told Jeb she couldn’t get romantically involved with him because he wasn’t of noble blood. He accused her of stringing him along the entire time and left.

*HHQ6: Corbin, along with his bodyguard Darrin and guide Joran, went to New Haven to slay a fire-breathing monster that had been reported to be causing problems in the area. They questioned the villagers, searched the tower of old Azzmere the wizard (who had recently died and left behind his research about the monster), and went out hunting the yugoloth. They killed 4 jackals and the yugoloth. Corbin also found some very useful spellbooks.

*HHQ7: Banoc and his psionicist friend Trevor Hawks went to Beacon Point to try to stop the dread pirate Balmec, who had kidnapped Trevor’s girlfriend Allie. They hired a crew to sail them to the island, but the ship was attacked by the pirates and the crew was killed. Banoc and Trevor jumped overboard to survive. They encountered 16 fishfolk, whom they paid to join them in assaulting the pirates. Together, Banoc’s team killed: Balmec, the half-elf pirate, 21 more pirates, the corrupt city guard, 7 thugs, and an evil woman. They rescued Allie and 8 other prisoners. Unfortunately, most of the fishfolk died during the battles. Trevor decided to use his share of the loot to propose to, and marry, Allie. Banoc congratulated them and headed home.

*HHQ8: Kantik II went seeking undead to slay in the wine-producing village of Barlox. He defeated 4 zombies, 1 skeleton, 2 zombie dogs, and a mummy. After the combat, he had to talk the town rivals into getting along peacefully.

BEAK: [Module: X7 War Rafts of Kron]
Corbin, Banoc, Kantik II, Jeb, Darrin, and Joran answered a call to go help the island nation of Minrothad and rescue its princess. On the journey, they defeated 14 tritons and befriended a storm giant. They continued the war against the tritons, killing 50 of them, about 100 of their allies from Kron, and an amber golem. At Colhador, they took out a hydra, 20 skeletons, 50 slimes, 30 sharks, 14 manta rays, 4 tritons, and 2 dragon turtles; they rescued the prisoners but Darrin, Joran, and Kantik II died during the adventure.

BEAK: [Modules: HWR1-3: Sons of Azca, Kingdom of Nithia, Milenian Empire]
Corbin, Banoc, and Jeb discovered a portal that took them to the Hollow World inside Mystara, with the ancient people and their secrets. The evil Azcan people, planning their next human sacrifice ritual, were attacked by dinosaurs. The team had to kill an ankylosaurus. They were then hired by an Azcan man to kill a rival priest of Thanatos. After killing the priests, they found a map to a gold mine. They fought off burrower monsters and freed the slave Tezolahuac. In the forest, they were captured by a faun shaman who tricked them into drinking sleeping potions. When they awoke, they insulted the Azcan Fairy Queen so she stripped them of all of their gear and left them naked in the desert.

The guys almost died traveling through the lands of Nithia, but eventually they found a city with a temple. Banoc sneaked in and stole them some clothing, food, and a spellbook for Corbin. When the guards realized what had happened, they captured the team and brought them to the city leader. He told them they could live if they passed a test - going to a tower and killing the clerics of Thanatos that resided there. The team agreed, but Tezolahuac died in the battle.

Corbin, Banoc, and Jeb wandered into the lands of The Milenian Empire; they killed a bunch of wasps, Azcan raiders, a shrieker, and a rampaging old minotaur shaman. They found a tomb of a long dead sorcerer; in clearing it out, they killed: changelings, evil clerics, and giant bats. They stopped in a fishing village only to find it was attacked by an undead ship full of evil clerics, zombies, and skeles.

BEAK: [Module: HWA1: Nightwail]
Corbin, Banoc, and Jeb found out that the Azcans have been capturing princes from the lands above, in the surface world as part of their god Thanatos’ plan to corrupt the Spell of Preservation that presides over Hollow World and plunge the world into chaos. The team fought a bunch of rock spike creatures and elementals before negotiating with the goblins and elves that had been taken into Azcan territory. They had to go deep into the mountains and battle an army of Azcan warriors. A mysterious voice called out to the team and used lightning to help even the odds so they could win. They followed a flying serpent spirit, which brought them to a pyramid temple with evil clerics. They killed the evil clerics.

BEAK: [Module: HWQ1: The Milenian Scepter]
The evil followers of Zargos plot to take over Milenia; Senator Tibernos, who heard of the heroes, arranged a secret meeting with them and asked for their help. Corbin, Banoc, and Jeb agreed to take on the mission. The church of Zargos sent Vix, their best assassin, to kill the team, but they escaped. They made their way to the Shrine of Glory and saved the oracle there. They hitched a ride back with some griffon riders and then retrieved the Milenian Scepter from a crypt below the city. The false emperor and his minions attacked the team, but the heroes prevailed.

BEAK: [Module: HWA2: Nightrage]
Corbin, Banoc, and Jeb searched for the endangered species the feathered serpents. In Colima, they found clues to lead to the breeding grounds of the creatures in Nithia, where the soldiers are said to now have anti-magic armor that makes them difficult to defeat. The team went through bat caves and the tunnels of the Great Annelid before encountering Koresh Tyd, who helps them and takes them to the great Pharaoh that he has befriended with flattery. They eventually found the desert oasis breeding grounds, but had to fight off an army of manscorpions. They realized Koresh was enslaving elementals and confronted him about it, only to find out that the real Koresh has been replaced by a clone; they killed the clone and the real evil wizard. Jeb died in battle. In appreciation, the Queen Mother of the feathered serpents gave them the ability to transform into feathered serpents.

BEAK: [Module: HWA3: Nightstorm]
Corbin and Banoc ventured to the land of Shahjapur to stop Thanatos’ crazy plan for once and for all. On the way there, they experience strange dreams. Once in the capital city, they found themselves being hunted down by an evil cult of assassins. They made it to the Temple of Eight Sweet Winds and met with Chatterjee who told them how to construct a magic symbol to stop Thanatos. They collected the components and fought off the servants of Thanatos, thus rescuing Asterius from the time-stream so that he and the other Immortals could stop Thanatos. As a reward, Corbin and Banoc were allowed to travel back to the surface world and rejoin their family.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Return to the Keep on the Borderlands]
Niva grew up as Estrid’s daughter and Nova’s sister, but everyone had been told that Nanoc I was her father. When she and her sister found out that Coru was secretly their father, they were outraged. They believed they were entitled to the public’s respect like their half-brother Corbin, who was the heir to the Black Eagle barony. Thus each Niva and Nova decided to take a team with 40 of the 80 half-orcs and find adventures...

Niva named her team the Blood Claws. They went to a keep plagued by nearby monsters. They killed: 36 bandits, 1 bulette, 45 gnolls, 3 harpies, 20 lizardfolk, 1 shambling mound, 12 giant spiders, 113 zombies, 56 skeletons, 44 kobolds, 18 goblins, 20 hobgoblins, 1 troll, 4 evil wizards, 12 stirges, 1 otyugh, 12 giant rats, 1 wererat, 36 bugbears, 2 bugbear shamans, 5 minotaurs, 1 medusa, 1 owlbear, 1 rust monster, 1 mummy-cat, 8 evil clerics, 1 evil paladin, 1 huntress, and 5 shadows. In the end, only Niva and 4 of the 40 half-orcs survived.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: GA9: Shattered Circle]
Niva’s team investigated the disappearance of a shepherd and the appearance of an underground tunnel. In the cavern, they killed: 41 chitines, 2 large spiders, 1 phantom spider, 2 zombies, 2 axebeaks, 1 gibbering mouther, 2 drow, 12 webbirds, 1 salt mummy, 1 wraith, and 1 werespider; 3 of the half-orcs perished along the way. They rescued Clinker the deep gnome thief, who joined the party. In the end Niva, Horv (the only remaining half-orc), and Clinker had to figure out how to dispose of the cursed Foundingstone.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Freedom”]
When Niva, Horv, and Clinker dropped off the Foundingstone at an earth elemental temple, they found themselves sucked through a portal to another world; they ended up on Athas, where they were captured and enslaved by half-giant warriors. The endured life as slave workers, eventually helping their fellow slave Faldar the elf to escape. Their masters then took them to train for the gladiatorial arena. Faldar returned and helped the team (along with their new human friend Eremas) escape during a riot.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Black Flames”]
Farcluun the dragon forced Niva, Horv, Clinker, and Eremas to go on a quest for him (by giving them all a curse) - to get the Eye and Orb from Yaramuke. The team defeated an evil psionicist, a scorpion, a banshee, and 7 gith. After getting the items for the dragon, he betrayed the group. Another dragon came in and saved them. On their way out, the group had to fight through zombies and skeletons before eventually finding a druid to remove their curse; Eremas and Clinker were both killed while battling the army of undead.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Merchant House of Amketch”]
In their travels, Niva and Horv befriended and adventuring team (Rowan the elf thief, Shayira the human earth cleric, Ashathra the human bard, Stug Two-blades the half-giant gladiator, Ka’Cha the thri-kreen cleric/psionicist, and Galek Sandstrider the half-elf ranger/psionicist) and wandered into the ancient city of Balic with them. All of them were hired on as caravan guards, thus inadvertently getting themselves involved in a trade war. They survived an attack by gith raiders, tracked down the problem to For Melidor, fought off a team of assassins, went to Kalidnay, fought off the soldiers, and killed a sorcerer who had been altering beetles. Along the way Shayira, Ashathra, Stug, and Ka’Cha were killed.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Road to Urik”]
Niva, Horv, Rowan, and Galek helped defend the city of Tyr from Urik invaders. They helped the new city leaders recruit people to the defensive army and then they fought alongside the others in defense of the city. Upon their return from battle, they were treated as heroes and King Tithian held a festival in their honor. Niva and Galek found themselves in love while Horv and Rowan also coupled up. They had earned a nice rest for a while. When Rowan ended up pregnant, Horv decided to marry her. The two of them retired as nobles in the city of Tyr.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Arcane Shadows”]
Niva and Galek returned to the adventuring life. They were joined by two of the other war heroes: the thri-kreen gladiator T’Kkyl and the halfling cleric/psionicist Chividal. The group were tasked with going to Urik and getting a mage for a secret meeting and taking him back to Tyr. In the desert, they met up with a slave tribe and ended up in a secret valley. In total, they defeated: 12 half-giant guards, 6 thri-kreen hunters, a band of marauders, 3 large turtle-beasts, 5 wild muls, 12 raiders, and a group of soldiers; T’Kkyl perished in battle, but the team freed a powerful earth guardian that can improve the land.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Marauders of Nibenay”]
Niva, Galek, and Chividal ventured to Nibenay, where the Shadow King was trying to destroy the Zwuun (a powerful magical entity) and ended up causing elemental chaos to erupt. The Veiled Alliance recruited them to stop the problem. The team defeated 4 templars, 3 elves, 3 alliance wizards, 50 zombies, 10 zhackels, 3 pond fiends, 1 jade golem, and 1 greater air elemental. They pacified the Zwuun and arranged for a council of the city’s leaders to discuss improving Nibenay.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun Dungeon 183 “Revenge of the Marauders”]
Niva, Galek, and Chividal were accompanied into the wastes by elf scout Kivrin. They battled a crawling citadel with a render, 8 zombies, 1 mindhunter, 2 spiderlings, 1 magical beast, 2 hunters, 1 mystic, and 13 thri-kreen. Kivrin and Chividal both died. Niva and Galek returned to Nibenay.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Asticlian Gambit”]
Herminard the human bard and Azhul the half-giant fighter joined Niva and Galek; the team was hired to take a gift to the Lalali-Puy, the “Forest Queen” of Gulg. On the way, the group defeated: 12 anakores, 12 gith, and 20 thieves/raiders. In Gulg they delivered the item but accidentally insulted the queen and were put in the dungeon, where they befriended the halfling hunter Sark. The prisoners were released to be hunted down by nobles as part of a Gulg rite of initiation called the Red Moon Hunt. In addition to the nobles, they had to deal with banshees, muls, sloths, killer plants, and Shala the Hunt Mistress; only Niva and Sark survived after Galek sacrificed himself to save them, but they were soon taken by warriors from Nibaney.

The Shadow King gave Niva and Sark an audience as a chance to explain themselves. He then sent them back to Gulg to destroy the necklace they had brought there. They killed 12 guards, a rock golem, 2 templars, 10 skeletons, 6 muls, and Magadisho (the Warlord of Gulg); Sark was killed by the enemies.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Dragon’s Crown”]
Niva befriended the adventurers Ghedran (the dwarf fighter/cleric), Vaerhirmana (the half-elf fighter/preserver), and Anavias (the human psionicist). Their friend Korgunard summoned them for help because The Order had implemented the Psionatrix, dampening psionic powers and causing a panic. The group quested and retrieved a scroll. Korgunard then tasked them with spying on Hamanu (the sorcerer-king of Urik); they were captured and brought before Hamanu, where they explained themselves. They then worked for Hamanu, going to Lake Island where they were ambushed by giants. Korgunard was murdered by The Order. The team learned that they needed to go to Dragon’s Crown. They defeated Korgunard’s murderer, a powerful halfling psionicist, and allied with rogue members of The Order to take down Pharistes and the Psionatrix. Along the way, Anavias was killed.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Forest Maker”]
Niva (the human fighter), Ghedran (the dwarf fighter/cleric), and Vaerhirmana (the half-elf fighter/preserver) returned to the city of Tyr. They rescued an old man who told them about something big happening in Altaruk. The team journeyed that way, dealing with: a caravan and some giants. Ghedran and Vaerhirmana died, but the Niva recruited Maluk (the mul gladiator), Karnev Airdancer (the halfling cleric/thief), and Jork (the half-giant fighter). They found mesmerized pilgrims heading to a huge forest in the middle of a desert, which turned out to be part of a plan by the evil dragon-sorcerer Abalach-Re. They defeated the dragon and released the people from the spell that was mesmerizing them.

LK: Blood Claws: [Module: Dark Sun “Black Spine”]
Niva, Maluk, Karnev, and Jork were hired to protect a slave tribe from gith. They fought off 16 gith before a huge battle took place between the tribe and the gith army. Niva and Karnev survived, along with only half of the tribe they were protecting. They took the fight down into the catacombs, killing: 10 asps and 40 skeletons. Niva retrieved the ancient artifact Rubyheart (not knowing that it would turn her evil).

The gith retreated to an old iron mine. Niva and Karnev once again led the tribe to go fight them. They took out another 35 gith on the way there before a powerful gith psionicist put their army into a “killing dream.” Niva had to slay a dream creature. The soldiers killed in the dream died in their sleep. Luckily a group of soldiers from Nibaney agreed to ally with the tribe. They all went into the mines and killed: 6 tembo, 15 hej-kin, and the rest of the gith forces. At this point Niva was fully turned evil by Rubyheart. She pushed the army on the go find more gith to kill, until they ended up at a gith city with a portal to the Astral Plane. The rest of her army was killed, but Niva was captured.

As a prisoner on the Astral Plane, Niva demanded to see the gith queen. In escaping, she ended up saving a beholder named Alukas. Alukas told Niva that the gith lich-queen had a powerful scepter and, if not stopped, would end up ruling over all of Athas. As a selfish/evil person, Niva decided she didn’t want to risk her life to save the people of Athas; instead, she asked the beholder to help her get to her homeworld of Mystara...

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Night of the Walking Dead”]
Meanwhile: Niva’s sister Nova (the human cleric) and her 40 half-orc allies went on their own quests as the Lion Knights: Gold Manes. The Gold Manes went into the swamp and fought off an army of zombies; 10 of the half-orcs died Afterward, they realized they had been transported to the Domains of Dread.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “The Created”]
At the town of Odiare, The Gold Manes investigated a murder and had to destroy 30 killer puppets and their vile master; 5 of the half-orcs died.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Touch of Death”]
Nova and the 25 half-orc fighters encountered an overturned gypsy wagon and helped to get the vehicle back on the road. The gypsies led the team through the mists… to a desert. They found a village where people were being murdered at night. The team killed 32 desert zombies, 5 mummies, and the mummy lord; 5 more half-orcs were killed off.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Howls in the Night”]
Still in the Domains of Dread, Nova and the remaining 20 half-orcs ended up in Mordent. They investigated a missing woman in the swamp, which resulted in fighting a bunch of bog hounds an an arrogant rich man. They eventually freed the ghost of the dead woman after realizing the rich man had killed the woman, his fiance from an arranged marriage who had tried to run away. During the adventure, 4 more half-orcs died.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Chilling Tales”]
Nova and her 16 half-orc warriors joined a caravan with an infamous monster hunter. Together, they defeated many foes: vistani wizards, bears, huge spiders, elementals, ghosts, cultists, a vassalich, lycans, thieves, a mad scientist, shadows, crocodiles, a mummy, and a demon; unfortunately, 12 of the orcs died.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Castles Forlorn”]
Nova and her 4 half-orc warriors joined up with 2 female druids (Shelaugh and Maeve) to cleanse an area of evil; they defeated: lots of ghosts, goblyns (which used to be humans), an ancient undead water serpent, an evil tree, undead wolves, a necromancer, evil mercenaries, an angry mob, worgs, and a bone golem; they rescued the paladin Andrew ApFittle, but Shelaugh and 3 of the half-orcs perished along the way.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Hour of the Knife”]
Nova, her half-orc bodyguard, the paladin AA, and the druid Maeve continued adventuring through the Domains of Dread, where they had to kill: a gang of jackelwere and dopplegangers involved in a serial killer curse, as well as some werewolves; along the way, Nova’s last half-orc warrior and the paladin both died - but the team recruited the human cleric Edward Chadwick and the human wizard Peg Shewmaker.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “When Black Roses Bloom”]
Nova, the druid Maeve, the cleric Chadwick, and the wizard Peg wandered into Lord Soth’s evil domain (Sithicus) while looking for spell components that a wizard hired them to obtain; they destroyed skeletons, banshees, thornslingers, gargoyles, ogres, and draconians while getting a gem for a kender named Tickelmop and rescuing Lord Soth from some magic mirrors.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Servants of Darkness”]
Nova, Maeve, Chadwick, and Peg continued adventuring in the Domains of Dread. They killed goblins, worgs, evil villagers, umbra, carrion stalkers, and wraith-spiders; they saved an innocent girl from false accusations.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “The Awakening”]
Nova, Maeve, Chadwick, and Peg encountered the domain called Nova Vaasa.
They had to flee from Prince Othmar and his 12 knights (after only killing half of the enemies). The team killed wolves and werewolf bandits before being captured by Prince Othmar, who forced them to fight a powerful mummy priest over and over again. Sir Tristan Hiregaard (who was cursed to kill anyone he fell in love with) rescued the team from Othmar, but he set his eyes on Maeve and soon killed her in the night. Nova, Chadwick, and Peg had to kill him before finishing off a bunch of cryptcats and the mummy once and for all.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “The Evil Eye”]
Moving on, Nova’s team found themselves up against the Vistani gypsies; even though they didn’t want to do it, they were in a land of horror, so they slaughtered an entire group of gypsies, some ghosts, wolves, more Vistani that came after them, and some mercenaries; Peg was killed, leaving Nova and Chadwick alone together in the Domains of Dread.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Feast of Goblyns”]
The mists of the Domains of Dread sent Nova and Chadwick to Harmonia, where they helped a young woman named Akriel escape from being falsely imprisoned (by bribing guards and killing wolves/werewolves, zombies, skeletons, and goblins). Akriel sent them on a quest to get the Crown of Souls; after Nova got the crown, Akriel wanted them to give it to her boyfriend, but he turned out to be an evil vampire. Nova and Chadwick also realized the crown was evil so they destroyed it after killing the vampire.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Grim Harvest Trilogy Part 1”]
The mists next sent Nova and Chadwick to Lekar, where they met an adventuring party that was being hunted by the Ebon Fold. When they went to meet back up with them to explore some ruins, the new group had all been killed; a necromancer and his assassins (the Ebon Fold) tried to kill Nova and Chadwick as well, but they escaped to the town’s wizard tower. There, they recruited Mircea and his 12 apprentices to help them defeat the evil group. Chadwick and the apprentices were all killed, but in the end so were the enemies.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Grim Harvest Trilogy Part 2”]
The wizard Mircea took Nova with him to visit with the Vistani (sine he was half-Vistani and wanted her to make amends with them); they found the Vistani wagon of Vito Romenza (a thief), who needed help. Vito flirted with Nova as they worked together, along with Mircea, fighting mud zombies and various lycans during their investigation. After killing the lycans and banishing an evil priest that turned himself into a powerful undead, they found 2 weretiger cubs and enough treasure to consider themselves all rich. Nova and Vito became intimate and bonded as a couple. Mircea found a home for the weretiger orphans.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Grim Harvest Trilogy Part 3”]
The cleric Nova, thief Vito, and wizard Mircea followed clues from the necromancer and ended up in Darkon, where the witch Nichia told them of her prophetic dream that everyone in the city would die at midnight. Mircea, selfishly convinced Nova and Vito to leave with him, since they couldn’t possibly overcome the Order of Kargat and the Dark Lord Azalin.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Adam’s Wrath”]
Having placed Vito’s Vistani wagon onto a ferry, Nova’s trio was surprised when the ship ended up at the Isle of Agony. Hans, the human fighter, greeted them from the coast with tales of his lost lovers and he joined the team. They defeated: a coven of hags, the evil Dr. Mordenheim and his army of flesh golems, the invading flesh golems, some evil servants, yellow mold, and a gelatinous cube. Hans was killed during the battles at the manor, they freed the prisoner Elise, and they found Mordenheim’s cloning machines. Mircea and Nova worked together to create a new clone body for Elise since her body had been so horribly experimented on.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Circle of Darkness”]
The Vistani woman Marda sent Nova, Vito, and Mircea to take out the insane evil cult of Zhakata, led by Yagno and manipulated by a Nalfeshnee demon; the team had to defeat wolves, mongrels, cultists, the evil priests, and the demon; along the way, they saved the local shaman Petchko [using the wand of polymorph from the previous adventure].

Their next quest involved hunting down lots of werewolves. Nova, Vito, and Mircea were joined by the witch sisters Natalya and Elena in taking down the army of werewolves led by Gregor, the brother of the witches. The ghost of their dead mother helped them defeat Gregor. Sadly, Mircea was killed by the werewolves; he sacrificed himself so the others could survive.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “A Light in the Belfry”]
Nova, Vito, Natalya, and Elena ended up at the haunted Tergeron Manor; while collecting the shards of a broken mirror (to free to spirit trapped in the house), Elena was turned into a shambling mound; the team had to defeat her, several traps, a mimic, skeletons, a bunch of ghouls (that killed Natalya), shadows, and the evil necromancer spirit that they ended up letting free. Nova and Vito then rescued a trapped priestess who took a magic mirror portal back to her home plane.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Web of Illusion”]
The mists took their covered wagon to a jungle, where Nova and Vito’s lovemaking was interrupted by a weretiger killing a woman outside; they fought off the monster and retrieved a statue of a tiger. They entered the city of Pakat, hired a little girl as a guide, and took out an army of assassins and weretigers.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Vecna Reborn”]
Nova and Vito ended up outside the city of Tor Gorak, where they found a pregnant woman wandering alone; she was Marit, a victim of the cult of Vecna (which was preparing to try to bring Vecna back into the world via the birth of the child). Nova and Vito fought off wolves, evil cultists, soldiers, shadows, giant skeletons, ghouls, and evil priests - ultimately protecting the woman and stopping Vecna from using the baby as a vessel.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “The Shadow Rift”]
Arriving at a fishing village, Nova and Vito soon found themselves up against various evil fey, a water monster, goblins, evil trees, and an army of shadow elves. A fey queen recruited them to explore the Malachite Palace, retrieve the magic items there, and stop her brother Prince Loht from releasing an ancient evil. Loht began the process, but Nova and Vito interrupted him; they sacrificed some of the magic items to stop the ceremony and defeat Loht. As a reward, the fey queen offered to make Vito her new mortal lover, but he declined saying his heart belonged only to Nova.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Expedition to Castle Ravenloft” & “Diseased”]
Hoping to get some Vistani to perform a marriage ritual for them, Nova and Vito traveled to the domain of Lord Strahd, the vampire. They fought off some zombies and ghouls before finding themselves at the vampire’s castle. Strahd’s servants insisted he would never be defeated. After taking out gargoyles, wraiths, and several cursed spirits - Nova and Vito realized they needed to flee; Strahd was too powerful for them to destroy in combat.

In escaping, they ended up in the wilderness and had to fight off: werewolves, evil vines, weretigers, and a fire elemental.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “The House on Gryphon Hill”]
After their wedding Nova and Vito received an invitation to the House on Gryphon Hill, where Strahd taunted them by showing that he had several people under his hypnotical control. They teamed up with adventurers (2 clerics, 2 wizards, a paladin, 2 thieves, and a fighter) to temporarily defeat Strahd; Nova, Vito, and the wizard Thadeus survived.

LK: Gold Manes: [Modules: Ravenloft “From the Shadows”& “Roots of Evil”]
Sometimes the Dark Powers of the Domains of Dread play mind games on their “Dark Lord” prisoners, such as in this adventure in which they pitted Azalin and Strahd against each other, altering their realities to think they were time travelling and escaping their domains (when in fact, they were still imprisoned the entire time). Nova, Vito, and Thadeus were forced to work for Azalin, who “sent them back in time” to steal an artifact from Strahd to reduce his power. Strahd then used the adventurers to strike back against Azalin. The team coordinated with the Vistani (to figure out what was really going on) and defeated a bunch of undead, ultimately keeping both Azalin and Strahd from truly escaping their domains.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Bleak House”]
Nova introduced Vito and Thadeus to the monster hunter she met early in her times in the Domains of Dread, Rudolph Van Richten, when they are all imprisoned in an insane asylum together. The four of them then defeated the vampire lord and his minions. Upon their escape, the team tried to help Van Richten by pursuing his enemy Baron Metus (defeating ghost bears, invisible stalkers, and the vampire Lord Baron Metus). They discovered it was actually the witch Radanavich who was behind the plot to drive Van Richten insane and has cursed/haunted his home. The team helped him defeat the ghosts, zombies, ghouls, and golems at the manor; Thadeus died during battle.

LK: Gold Manes: [Module: Ravenloft “Die Vecna Die!”]
Nova and Vito took some down time to just be with each other at Van Richten’s manor before heading out to face danger once again; The centaur ranger Balophan told them rumors that the fiend known as Iuz from Oerth had created a magical gate into Vecna’s lands (as part of a plot by Vecna to trick Iuz into freeing him from the Domains of Dread). Nova, Vito, Balophan, and a dozen additional centaur rangers fought: spiders, zombies, ghouls, cultists, evil priests, vampires, ogres, half-ogre warrirors, stone guardians, skeletons, flesh golems, trolls, mercenaries, a gorgon, an iron golem, evil guards, wights, shadows, and a false Kas death knight; all but Nova perished along the way. She used a wish (from a ring of wishes) to help stop the evil plots of Iuz and Vecna, thus saving the extraplanar city of Sigil and earning the gratitude of the Lady of Pain and finally having escaped the Domains of Dread.

As a reward, Nova received a noble manor in the City of Sigil; she realized she was pregnant with Vito’s child so she retired from adventuring (with great wealth from all of the treasure she accumulated). She created a permanent portal back to her family home on Mystara. In time, she gave birth to a son that she named Vito II. She also realized her sister Niva had been cursed with evil so she cured her, destroying the Rubyheart and using her powerful cleric spells. Niva came to live with Nova at the Sigil estate while recovering from being evil.

LK: Red Manes (LKRM) [Module: Mystara “Night of the Vampire”]
Meanwhile: Miridor Feadiel II (son of Miridor and Murna) the half-elf wizard and his 20 human islander “Red Mane” fighters were sailing when their ship wrecked. They were invited to stay as guests at a manor and compete in a tournament. Another guest, Lady Constanina Brezovo, seduced Miridor II (non-magically) and convinced him to help her get vengeance for Lord Hugo having murdered her brother. While everyone else was at the evening masquerade ball, Miridor II and Constantina confronted and killed Hugo. They celebrated their victory in her bedroom.

Half of the human islanders were killed by assassins. The remaining islanders were then slain by the secret vampire lord of the manor. The next day, Constantina’s 2 associates (Tonja and Bani) helped her and Miridor II figure out what had happened. They found the secret crypt of the vampire, killed the rat guards, destroyed the female vampire, and killed the vampire lord in his sleep. Miridor II felt so guilty that his lust got all of his islander friends killed that he went to live with Constantina instead of going home. She ended up pregnant with his child and demanded he go out with Tonja and Bani to make some money to support her and baby Miria.

LK: Red Manes [Module: “Rage of the Rakasta”]
Miridor II, Tonja, and Bani (the “Red Manes”) decided to loot the lair of an evil rakasta; they defeated a tiger, zombies, rakastas, a bamboo golem, a doppleganger, and a wizard. Only Miridor II survived, but he brought the loot home to Constantina. Since he didn’t get much, she insisted he continue adventuring.

LK: Red Manes [Module: “The Goblin’s Lair”]
Miridor II joined with an adventuring group (with a human cleric, dwarf fighter, human wizard, human thief, human fighter, halfling fighter, and elf fighter-mage) that was hired by a dwarf lord to fight goblins. The team took out an army of goblins, skeletons, yellow mold, a wight, wood golems, an air elemental, ghouls, and gargoyles. Hearing of their success, a human mayor hired them to take on another monster army. They defeated: shriekers, goblins, fire beetles, dire wolves, an owlbear, the goblin king, bugbears, hobgoblins. The team rescued gnome slaves from the mines, but by the end of it all only Miridor II, the human cleric Bryn, the human fighter Corlinna, and the dwarf fighter Hagrim survived.

LK: Red Manes [Module: “Assault on Raven’s Ruin”]
Miridor II, Bryn, Corlinna, and Hagrim decided to stay together as the Red Manes. The team found out that a human thief known as Raven was organizing a monster army to assault the city so they go assault his lair, clearing out: goblins, kobolds, skeletons, wolves, rats, spiders, hobgoblins, and the master thief Raven (who had lots of treasure); unfortunately, only Miridor II survived the assault on the lair.

LK: Red Manes [Module: “The Dragon’s Den”]
After bringing his treasures to Constantina and hearing her say she still wanted more wealth, Miridor II recruited new Red Manes (dwarf fighter Grochek, human fighter Jared, human cleric Elin, human wizard Wardo, human thief Talina, elf fighter-mage Cara, and halfling fighter Sam) to go with him to find and assault a dragon’s den. In their journeys, they killed: crocodiles, lizardmen, snakes, a gelatinous cube, shadows, green slimes, evil clerics, Hakra the black dragon, and 2 hatchlings; the team freed the female harem of the lizardman chieftain and slaves (including Sharel the elf child and 2 otterkins). Survivors included Miridor II, Jared, Talina, and Cara. Cara and Jared volunteered to take the elf child and slaves to safety. Talina saw Miridor II’s lusty eyes, seduced him, and ran off with the treasure while he slept.

When Miridor II met back up with Jared and Cara, they had a mission to slay a green dragon named Nefastus. The team defeated a grizzly bear, gray oozes, and troglodytes until being overwhelmed by the troglodyte cleric; Jared was killed, but Miridor II and Cara were taken as prisoners. The next day, they overwhelmed the cleric and escaped. They used the cleric’s helm of forgetting to trick the dragon, offering it as a gift, thus allowing them to easily defeat the foe. Cara convinced Miridor II to use all the treasure to pay an elf cleric to bring Jared back to life.

The elves gave the treasure-seeking team some healing potions before telling them about a lair of monsters rumored to be led by a red dragon. Miridor II, Cara, Jared, and their 2 hired elven archers killed: orcs, bugbears, a troll, the orc chief, the orc shaman, giant rats, wererats, a hill giant, a harpy, an orc lord, 2 dwarf fighters, a human wizard, and Anandak the red dragon; only Miridor II and Jared survived to split the treasure between them. The two men declared each other best friends.

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Wildspace”]
When Miridor II introduced Jared to Constantina, the fighter convinced his best friend to marry her and pledge himself to a proper life as a husband and father. For the wedding they reached out to family and found out about Nova’s estate in Sigil. Constantina convinced Nova to let her and Miridor II raise Miria there with Nova’s son Vito II. In a case of love at first sight, Jared fell for Niva; she was soon pregnant, thus causing them to change plans and create a double-wedding ceremony. After Jared O’Loria and Niva’s son (Jay) was born, Miridor II got himself and Jared hired by Captain Tobart (who needed more people in his Spelljammer ship crew).

Aboard Skyrunner, Tobart taught Miridor II and Jared about Spelljamming and the various aspects of space politics (leaving out info about beholders); he also introduced them to the rest of the crew (Tobart’s flesh golem guards and 20 awakened, polymorphed animals turned into humans). The guys realized Tobar was a polymorphed beholder tricking them so they killed him and the flesh golems, causing a mutiny in which the crew was happy to side with them. They took control of the ship, destroyed some space beholders, and destroyed the Ravager (a device of destruction).

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Skull & Crossbows”]
The Red Manes (Miridor II and Jared) went to the Rock of Bral, where they freed the crew of Skyrunner and sold the ship with its Spelljammer helm. While there, they met with agents from the Pragmatic Order of Thought (POT) who hired them to battle space pirates and provided them a small ship (a Tradesman). They hired a dozen mercenaries and got to work, eliminating: 4 pirate crews. When they took Barracuda and killed the elf captain, Miridor II was seduced by the human mage Lara Mooncrow who killed him in his sleep. She tried to escape, but Jared was able to stop her and bring her to justice (via a quick death).

Jared brought his slain best friend’s share of the profits to his family, but continued his mercenary missions as the new captain of Barracuda, deciding from that point forward to loot share with the entire crew hoping to gain a sense of loyalty from them. That made Berwick the human fighter, Hallan the gnome illusionist, Manta the human wizard, and the others onboard like him more. They defeated: a space dragon, a space viking ship, a fire giant ship, and a ship of undead captained by a lich.

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Crystal Spheres”]
The Barracuda crew rescued Bruin Shambrath’s Hummingbird ship from a pirate squid ship. Bruin needed their help because he was the heir to a world that had just been taken over by a vampire with a plan to steal the population to be his feeding stock; Bruin promised a reward of wealth, land, and his flaming sword. While the Barracuda crew took the squid ship to sell it, Jared and Hallen agreed to go with Bruin.

On Hummingbird Jared and Hallan met Bruin’s best friends Ponn Jariss the human mage and Korlin Haagan the human swashbuckler; together, they defeated a lizardfolk ship and giff mercenaries while on their way to the world of Cumberland to meet up with Bruin’s old sage friend Keriacus. Keriacus scryed on the villain for them but was then killed by powerful undead. The team learned from another sage that they needed to go to the fairy realm to get sun seeds (because the vampire’s HQ was in a system with a dead star). Ponn used the scrying orb that could open portals to other places to send the rest of the team to get the seeds at the fairy city of Armon. There, the fairy king Aelivere agreed to give them the sun seeds if they stopped an alien invasion. The team killed all of the Isopterites in their fairy-space lair and received their reward from the fairy king.

While traveling to Bruin’s world (Thesalys), they saw 4 of House Shambrath’s loyal ships destroyed by the vampire’s fleet of 10 mercenary vessels. When the ships overwhelmed Hummingbird, the team fled to Bruin’s family castle via a scrying portal. The vampire lord had killed Bruin’s father and replaced the castle guard with his own agents (3 werewolves, 10 wererats, and 40 evil guards). The team fought to almost the last man, with Jared and Korlin being forced to surrender to 2 werewolves and 3 wererats after everyone else was killed. They were stripped, their tongues were cut out to make them mute, and they were told they would be used as human feeding stock for the vampire master; it was implied that if they refused to mate with the women there or tried to stir up a rebellion that they would be killed.

Under the cover of darkness, they were placed off world at the human prisoner colony. Months went by, during which both Jared and Korlin paired up with women and got them pregnant. Before the babies were born, the crew of Barracuda showed up letting the guys know they had investigated the situation after Jared never returned to them, they had slain the vampire lord, and they claimed all of the loot for themselves. The Barracuda crew said, after this, they considered their debt to Jared paid and they didn’t need him anymore. He also ended up with none of the loot. A cleric on Thesalys restored the men’s tongues; Korlin married his pregnant mate and became the new ruler of Thesalys. Jared stayed there long enough to see his daughter Jarecia born, along with Korlin’s son Korlin II.

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Goblins’ Return”]
Elves, the undisputed lords of wildspace, recruited Jared along with 2 humans from the Rock of Bral’s Temple of Tyr (a paladin and a cleric) and Lady Basa Lianin the human wizard (who was tired of goblin’s messing in the affairs of her organization). The team went on a secret mission to investigate the return of goblin militaristic action, specifically to spy on a space station while pretending to be mercenaries in a wasp ship.

They made it to Moragspace, fooled the patrol ships, and managed to dock at Gamaro. Jared convinced the scro (dog-like orcs) to tell him their plans (which included building a super weapon in space with which to defeat the elves). But then they were found out as imposters (when they rescued a captured elf commander) and had to fight their way out, killing an army of scro warriors and war priests to make it to the ship bay to steal a mantis ship for their escape. They shot down kobold arrow ships that pursued them. They survived, returned to the elven armada ship Constellation, and reported to Silanos.

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Heart of the Enemy”]
Jared, Lady Basa Lianin, and the Tyr agents were still working for the elves. The intel from the previous mission let them know Gamaro held a monster called a witchlight marauder that was a doomsday creature capable of destroying worlds with the Witchlight Key device. The team needed to get the key before the enemy. Silanos gave them a new wasp ship and 3 aides: Lady Kora the elf warrior/engineer, Shusaki the human priest/seer, and Tolivin the elf warrior/biologist. They headed into Shadowspace, where their ship was disabled by 3 lizardfolk wasp ships but rescued my Mandar the human wizard and his ship Golden Warrior (with a crew of 16 rabbitfolk).

Golden Warrior defeated a squid ship that attacked, took them to explore the planets where they figured out how to portal into the secret star civilization of pegasi creatures, and aided in their escape with the Witchlight Key (with the enemy scro on their tails). In battling with the scro over the witchlight marauder, they had to kill the space monster. Captain Mandar deposited them back with the elves, where Silanos thanked them for their help. The elves retrieved and repaired the wasp ship for them.

LK: Red Manes [Module: Spelljammer: “Under the Dark Fist”]
Jared, Lady Basa Lianin, and the Tyr agents decided to stay together as a team. While in their wasp ship, they were attacked by the werewolf (Vodoni) scout ship Black Dog and an illithid ship, with both the Tyr paladin and cleric dying in battle and the wasp being destroyed; Jared and Lady Basa recovered treasure from the illithids, commandeered the Black Dog, and headed toward the Rock of Bral. Along the way, they rescued 6 gnome children from a massacred ship and met up with the elven fleet.

Jared and Lada Basa Lianin attended a meeting to from a war alliance (the first ever Free Space Alliance) with the elves, gnomes, humans, dwarves, illithids, neogi, and beholders. The illithid Prince Villithandra and the dwarf King Druin joined Jared and Lada Basa on Black Dog to infiltrate Vodoni space. During the war, the team took out Vodoni ships (stealing their maps and treasures), rescued slaves, and led the alliance in assaulting the Vodoni homeworld. They killed the Vodoni leaders (Mangrelle and Vulkaran) - with all but Jared petrified in the final attacks. Jared used the Eye of the Gods to free the imprisoned divine beings, but was disintegrated as the alien ship was destroyed. With his sacrifice, the alliance won and the threat from the Vodoni was ended.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “The Eternal Boundary”]
Not wanting to be outdone by the teams assembled by her half-siblings, Dora (the rogue) formed the Shadow Cats. The team included herself, the 4 sons of Conan (fighters), the 4 daughters of Conan (rangers), the 2 sons of Juma (clerics), and the daughter of Juma (Shahama the wizard).

The Shadow Cats, in Sigil, were hired to go into the slums called the Hive and find a man known as Eliath (who has info); they investigated and found out he was killed and sent to the Plane of Fire to be cremated. Despite this, Eliath showed back up in a tavern as a Doomguard agent; the Shadowknave and his hired swordsmen killed half of the party in their sleep! The remaining members of the team discovered the conspiracy/hoax in which the Green Marvent had been using people. Katarina the ranger (one of Conan’s daughters) stood out as a leader.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “The Great Modron March”]
Jysson contacted Dora and Katarina and tasked their team with taking a book back to Automata, home of the Modrons. They agreed. Along the way, the agents of the Council of Anarchy killed most of the group. Only Dora, Katarina, Damir, and Baqir survived. They directed the Modron March so as to cause the least amount of damage possible.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Tales of the Outer Planes”]
Experienced Planeswalkers at this point: Dora, Katarina, Damir, and Baqir decided to take on villains from various planes. They defeated: Hecate the Dark Queen of Magic, the Sapphire Mage of the ethereal plane, air elementals on their plane, a sea hag on the plane of water, Marshud the efreeti from the plane of fire, and a dao that kidnapped a duke’s daughter on the plane of earth; along the way Baqir died in battle.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Planes of Chaos Box Set”]
Dora, Katarina, and Damir went to the Abyss for some challenges. They stopped some villains from poisoning people, destroyed an evil amulet for a githzerai (who betrayed them and had to be killed), and destroyed a Book of Lies. Traveling through Yggdrasil, they ended up in the middle of some tribal and helped negotiate for the bariaurs. They killed a band of dangerous bacchae and had to fight a titan when he tried to stop them from taking the treasure they had found.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Tales from the Infinite Staircase”]
The tiefling Gienna hired Dora, Katarina, and Damir to go deal with challenges from the Iron Shadow. They fought off fiends, a manticore, and wild animals while helping the Planewalkers Guild look for missing people. Shavanistra the insane sorceress and Gerrzog the glabrezu ended up being behind the mess and the team eliminated them.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “The Well of Worlds”]
The team went to a wizard’s lab on Baator, got lost in a magical maze, found a secret love letter, and ended up listening in on war plans for the Blood War! Along the way, they killed: an owlbear, green slime, Hexla the mad witch, giant bloodworms, devils, and demons; Dora was killed, but the team recruited Kayle Mercykiller the half-elf wizard (who was using the group to help him end up with the famous sword known as Lightbringer). The romance intrigue inspired Katarina to fall in love with Kayle. Damir and the 2 lovers escaped after fleeing from an army of undead.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Doors to the Unknown”]
Estavan of the Planar Trade Consortium hired Katarina, Kayle, and Damir to retrieve a stolen ledger for him, from behind “an impossible door.” Kayle brought along several hired “Mercykiller” warriors to help them. They were also hired to search for Garamundi the missing dwarf street preacher. Their next task took them to a mechanical world without magic, where Estavan was trying to free Lathuraz from an ancient prison. Lathuraz led them to the small Society of the Locked door, where they decided it was best to leave its secrets locked away; they killed the members of the cult and took their magical gear, but Damir died in the battle.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Harbinger House”]
Katarina and Kayle, along with some Mercykiller warriors, went to stop a serial killer. They ended up involved in events honoring the Lady of Pain, pursuing the murderer to the plane of Ecstacy, and ended up at Harbinger House. They defeated Sougad and Trolan the mad. Crimjak the cambion killed Kayle and seduced Katarina before being killed by Narcovi the dwarf fighter (who rescued Katarina). In the end, Katarina realized she was pregnant, but she wasn’t sure if the father was Kayle or Crimjak!

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Something Wild”]
Katarina took time off to have her child, who was born as a cambion/tiefling; she named him Kale. She left him with Niva and Nova’s family in Sigil and went back out adventuring with Narcovi the dwarf hero. Katarina and Narcovi investigated a Garond the Claw, a tiefling man who turned into a tiger. They traveled to Carceri and the dark jungles of the Beastlands while dealing with the worshippers of Malar. Along the way, they befriended the Verdant Guild. With the guild members helping, they killed the Malarites and freed the hostages.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Faction War”]
Caught up the Faction War, Kat and Narcovi witness the destruction of their favorite tavern. Nova took the family and children back to Mystara. Niva joined Kat and Narcovi in dealing with the situation that resulted from Rowan Darkwood trying to take down the Lady of Pain. The leaders of 11 of the 15 factions disappeared.

The Faction War went on for 6 weeks! After hiding in a safe house for some of it, the team accepted a guard quest. They had to fight of a group of gith and some enemy clerics. They helped the Doomguard retrieve weapons from an armory and then took out yugoloths and their allies in UnderSigil. They learned of a powerful scroll and destroyed it before it could be used for evil; unfortunately Niva and Narcovi died in battle.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “The Deva Spark”]
Kat, sad and alone, tried out a new tavern but it whisked her off to another plane. A deva named Ybdiel was injured so she (being a true monster hunter) pursued the bebilith responsible. Ybdiel told Kat that the bebilith had his “spark” so she tried to get it back, going to Elysium. There, Kat realizes the “spark” is changing the bebilith into something new. Ybdiel was dying, which gave Kat a moral dilemma. She decided to let the newly changed bebilith live instead of returning the “spark” to Ybdiel because it was his own fault for giving it up in the first place.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “Dead Gods”]
Kat joined up with a team of elves to chase after reptilian thieves in the branches of Yggdrasil. They discovered a corruption in the World Ash and fought off an undead army before following a fiend to Baator. To find a cure for the tree, they fought off more undead and rescued a prisoner with forgotten knowledge. The journey took them to Oerth, where the drow knew some of the truth, and then they hitched a ride with a crazy planar circus to get to the Howling Plane and found the needed artifact. The secret villain is eventually revealed to be Orcus, who was in hiding all this time and manipulated the team to help him get back The Wand of Orcus! In the end, only Kat and 2 of the elves survived to realize what they had done.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: “To the City of Brass”]
Kat and the elves (Pyln the cleric and Grolos the wizard) found themselves fighting off fire elementals as they raced through the plane of fire to get to the City of Brass. Once in the city, they were able to buy and trade gear from their adventures.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: Planescape “In the Abyss”]
Willum the pit fiend hires Kat and her crew to hunt down a missing Chaos Ship in the Abyss. They fought and killed a molydeus and its minions. They also had several random encounters of troops from the Blood Wars. Once they found the ship, they had to kill its babau commander. They helped the captured Doomguard members escape from the ship.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: “Expedition to the Demonweb Pits”]
Grazzt manipulated the followers of Corellon into thinking that Lolth was preparing to attack the elves and destroy them so that they would attack and weaken the drow followers of Lolth (allowing Grazzt to try to take over Lolth’s layers of the Abyss). The plan half-worked because Kat’s elf buddies recruited her to join them in fighting an army of drow, reptiles, spiders, undead, and demons in the Demonweb Pits. Once Kat realized the truth of the situation, she begged her remaining elf friend (Pyln the cleric) to leave with her.

LK: Shadow Cats [Module: “The Vortex of Madness”]
Kat and Pyln entered the Vortex of Madness to try to stop Lum’s machine; the machine tested them in several ways. They defeated a purple worm and firbolg before a succubus killed Pyln. Kat managed to pass the rest of the tests/riddles and freed Baron Lum, but he insisted on fighting her and she had to kill him. She ended up with the machine as her prize, but when she experimented with it, the machine drove her insane and trapped her inside!

BEAK: [Module: X10 “Red Arrow, Black Shield”]
Corbin the human wizard and Banoc the human thief recruited Nova the human cleric to go rescue and cure Katarina the human ranger of her insanity; they destroyed the machine of Lum the mad and then returned to deal with political and war matters on Mystara. The desert nomads and their evil leader have been waging war so the newly reassembled Black Eagle Alliance Knights decided to act as ambassadors and warriors to stop them.

The Legion of Doom invaded Akesoli, but BEAK was ready for them (with flying magic and area of effect spells). The team killed the 10 goblin cavalry riding dire wolves, the 10 human cavalry riding horses, the 10 bugbear infantry, the 2 hill giants, and the troll. With the evil army marching to Darokin, the heroes routed themselves there as well. They were recruited to help lead the defending army. After their success there, they went to the major nations and put together a huge army to strike back and put an end to the evil Master of the Legion of Doom.

With the combined heroic forces, BEAK took down the frost giant leaders and the red dragon Balefire. In the dragon’s loot was a ring with a wish in it. The team used the wish to defeat the Master and put an end to the war.

BEAK: [Module: CM1 “Test of the Warlords”]
Corbin, Banoc, Nova, and Katarina used their new status as successful leaders to continue waging war against evildoers. Evil warlords had killed Claransa the powerful wizard’s adventuring party so the team sought vengeance. They killed the giants and golems in the raider camp and entered the dungeon of Kwyll. Inside, they defeated: the red dragon, the trolls, the hell hounds, the fire giants, and the beholder. They retrieved the gear of the dead adventurers and the treasure from the monster lair.

The evil wizard Gargantua lured the team into an ambush with his gargantuan creatures, basilisks, and trolls; the team defeated them. While the adventurers were off dealing with these enemies, war broke out between Thyatis and Alphatia. Not wanting Alphatia to suffer a defeat that could ruin it, the team helped in their defense and Thyatis backed off.

BEAK: [Module: CM9 “Legacy of Blood”]
Corbin, Banoc, Nova, and Katarina were asked to help defend the region of Fenhold. Once there, the party was ambushed by a team of elf necromancers and warlocks; Banoc was killed by them, but the rest of the team prevailed. The team killed the dangerous swamp creatures, an evil cleric, and a large black dragon named Snagglefang. On the way out, a group of bandits with amazing gear attacked the party; Katarina was killed but Corbin and Nova were victorious in battle.

After getting all of the treasure, they recruited new knights: Lord Hugh of Redlands the human fighter, Athel the human wizard, Alys the human cleric, Iorg the human thief, Dariel Sundancer the elf fighter-wizard, and Meadowrock Barberry the halfling rogue.

BEAK: [Module: CM2 “Death’s Ride”]
The team was asked by the king of Norwold to investigate why the distant mountain area of Twolakes Vale has stopped communicating with everyone. When they arrive in the area, they find a mysterious black cloud in the sky. While investigating, they team had to kill: 4 hill giants, 9 manscorpion warriors, a manscorpion cleric, 12 death leeches, an army of undead, and a basilisk. It turned out that a secret gate has been opened to the Sphere of Death. The Immortals were interfering in Norwald, including Koryis who led the team to discover the Pax Periapt so that it could be used to counter the forces of Entropy. The king of Norwold asked the team to help keep the peace despite invasion from the north and south. The team killed a squad of undead and a squad of orcs and ogres. The mystic known as Brother Spider helped the team before they went back out and killed a bunch of giants. The team played a game and won the Pax Periapt. They also had to kill the vampire Ramenhotep X.

The knights traveled through the desert in hopes of attaining the treasure rumored to be at the “Spindle of Heaven.” They had to kill: 7 lesser djinn, a manscorpion wizard, 6 pteranodons, 8 hobgoblins, 20 rust monsters, 2 sphinxes, a gray ooze, 5 airdrakes, 4 invisible stalkers, a black pudding, 2 cloud giants, 3 air elementals, 2 vampires, and Pasha the greater djinni; along the way, several team members died. BEAK: [Module: M1 “Into the Maelstrom”]
Both Alphatia and Thyatis have been invading Norwold. The knights were hired by the king of Norwold to help his navy; while at sea, they were approached by 4 huge white dragons that cause the fleet to return to port. The team stealth kills the dragons one at a team and eventually gets the navy back out, where they capture the merchant ships of Baron Norlan of Qeodhar who has fled Alphatia with the princess from there that fell in love with him. A huge maelstrom storm then takes the team and the ships through a portal opened by the Immortal Vanya - to another part of the galaxy, to the ancient empire the Alphatians abandoned many centuries ago.

They eventually find an island with 1500 muscular natives with winged canoes. The island has a fruit called zzonga that robs people of their ambition to do anything other than to enjoy the island; they lost Kavva to the island fruit. The others searched and found a cave with a gargantuan beholder that disintegrated Knolimer and Ethendril. King Leosus, the master of the clouds, then saved the fleet and returned them to their homeworld, where they defeated Yorrick the enemy paladin. The Alphatians sent an army of undead to attack with Dreadnaughts of Death, led by a lich commander. Nova and Dariel led their crews and fought back the undead, destroying their ships, but it cost them most of the defensive navy.

After those losses, Nova and Dariel decided to retire to their families. They had shed more than enough blood and lost enough allies for their lifetime.
