This campaign really marked my return to regularly DMing/playing D&D. I DMed these adventure for NH, AMC, and LJ after the d20 modern campaign with Jack Dervish and Sara Smith ended. When I told the players I was busy and unsure if I could plan out complex plots they told me they were happy fighting monsters. Thus I made a campaign centered around a group of nature followers taking on some evil monsters...

Session 601: Arvandor’s Isolationists
*Approximately 200 years ago the elf island of Arvandor was transported from Oerth to Faerun.
*Ehlonna’s elves of Arvandor allowed Faerun elves to join them on their isolationist paradise.
*Elf twins Mya and Me’urra grew up on Arvandor, along with the orphaned Halfling druid Garnet.
*Mya (ranger), Me’urra (wizard) , Garnet (with his dog companion Tiny), & others defended the island.
*They found and destroyed an orc fortress in the Galena Mountains (near their secret island).

*Agaru revealed he was a human former Red Wizard of Thay seeking the purple dragon of Cormyr.
*After Agaru gave them items & left, the group fought the invading kobolds & gnolls serving Karaan.
*Me’urra declared himself the Kobold King in battle, thus helping the group defeat their enemies.

*The group fought more gnolls & orcs serving Karaan on an evil mission to wipe out Ehlonna’s followers.
*They also saved a tortured unicorn, but then it died aiding them in battle.
*Vanima (Mya & Me’urra’s mother) gave them the mission to get to Temple of the Two Nature Sisters.
*They travelled to Hulburg in hopes of getting transportation across the sea to Cormanthor.
*A huge storm wrecked the coast & ships; a Paladin of Tyr named Pike arrived to investigate.
*Pike joined the group, unaware that Me’urra led them in planning to rob the burgomaster.
*Garnet successfully flirted with Pike, starting a relationship between the 2 of them.
*They all planned to attack the orc army in Thar, preparing to head out in the next session.
*Mya, Me’urra, Garnet, Tiny, Pike, & their allies fought an orc army of over 150 orcs.
*The army also included giants and gnoll clerics of Karaan. The group killed them all!
*Garnet’s half-brother Malkor (the half-halfling/half-drow) had been captured by lizard men.
*They saved Malkor, but his presence caused tension in the group as they travelled to kill more orcs.
*They took out another evil army of Karaan: 20 ogres, 50 orcs, 5 shamans, & the Ogre King.
*Malkor died, but a treeporting Cleric of Ehlonna brought him back to a temple to be resurrected.
*The Cleric returned without Malkor, saying he was resurrected but decided to help fight the drow.
*Mya & Me’urra’s cousin (whom they hate), Linder, rejoined the group to help fight more orcs.
*As a group, they took out another orc fortress in Thar, but most of the reinforcements died.
*The group made their way to the city of Glister, with a super TaverInn called The Jester’s Palace.
*The group got to know the important people in Glister; the Scales family influenced the city’s King.
*Linder got drunk and was jailed, much to Me’urra’s delight; Me’urra also courted Lyla Bluestone.
*Lyla secretly got her father & brother killed so that she could inherit the Bluestone Tower/shop.
*Lyla took her inheritance, sold the shop, and went into hiding; Me’urra was impressed by her betrayal.
*From Glister, the group prepared and then attacked the nearby orc mountain fortress.
*They had to deal with beholders, a medusa, and wizards in what they figured was a decoy tower.
*Mya, Me’urra, Garnet, Tiny, Pike, & the Cleric of Ehlonna pursued the half-orc warlord Bonecrusher.
*They fought and killed Bonecrusher and his forces; they also fought assassins sent at night.
*While searching for their next destination, they encountered a former demigod posing as a gnome.
*This supposed gnome was the old swamp demi-god Ombug, worshipped by few people in this world.
*In the cave, the group fought off many monsters (including a basilisk & a Balor Demon!).
*They found & returned the missing treasure of the Scales family, collecting their reward.
*After returning to Glister, they find out that Linder was now a homeless beggar there (Me’urra’s doing).
*The group managed to treeport back to where Ombug was and captured him.
*The group brought the captured Ombug to Glister’s high druid at his grove; he released Ombug.
*Ombug manipulated politics in the city to have himself installed as the new King of Glister.
*The group accepted a mission to go wipe out Karaan’s Fortress/Base; Linder joined them.
*They killed 300 orcs at the above ground lair to Karaan’s forces!
*The group continued assaulting the orc fortress from last time, pushing into underground levels.
*As they fought monsters, Linder kept selfishly protecting himself so they kicked him out of the group.
*The took out evil druids, minotaurs, & fungus beasts; then nymphs tried to lure them into pools.
*They made it to Karaan’s alter area with his evil clerics and magical trees, destroying all there!
*The group gained the reputation of being the Slayers of Karaan, releasing a trapped Angel.
*After the group’s success, the High Cleric of Ehlonna invited them to spend time in the Unicorn Grove.
*Mya & Garnet accepted the offer and also spent time in the Ehlonna temple in ancient Cormanthor.
*Me’urra bought The Jester’s Palace and renamed it The Avenger’s Palace.
*Me’urra became business partners with his sister Mya, Roy from the Bluestone Tower, Garnet, & Ombug.
*Mya & Me’urra also formed Thuron Security Forces with hired fighters to kill off remaining orcs in Thar.
*Roy used resources to establish a portal to Waterdeep in Bluestone Tower for easy trade/tourist travel.
*Garnet missed Pike, who left for months to go help fight the drow (who were enslaving dwarves).
*Me’urra had bought up more properties & turned their TaverInn into a casino/gaming house as well.
*They also had a temple of Ehlonna put in with a grove & monuments to their group.

*Garnet & Pike left Glister to go fight in the battles against the drow to help free dwarves.
*Ombug went into hiding, declaring he heard that people were coming to kill him.
*Drunk, jailed Linder said he wanted vengeance for how they destroyed his reputation.
*Pike returned, announcing Garnet died fighting the drow.
*Darrian "Blueblood" the half-elf/half-drow & Ruric the dwarf bard tried to get a dragon’s treasure.
*Agaru was in charge of Darrian & Ruric so he sent them through Waterdeep’s portal to Glister.
*It turned out Darrian was the half-brother of Mya & Me’urra from their secret biological mother.
*Everything got complicated: Agaru had found the purple dragon & info about an ultimate weapon.
*The Red Wizards of Thay wanted the ultimate weapon; Red wizards attacked Glister, killing Ombug.
*The purple dragon & Agaru struck back against the Red Wizards, with limited power of magic device.
*Mya & Me’urra decided to let Roy buy out their company so they could go adventuring to settle this.

*The group had gotten the ultimate weapon magical item, but Linder stole it from them.
*It turned out that to super power the device, someone would need blood from 4 of Avendor’s Bloodline.
*The group left the sleeping Ruric the bard dwarf behind after going to Daggerfalls.
*Darrian’s family lived in the fey forest near Daggerfalls so he visited, gave news of Mya & Me’urra.
*Darrian’s guild told him the Red Wizards were looking for them; they feared the Red Wizard’s revenge.
*Me’urra slept with the mapmaker’s daughter; they then went to see their biological mother.
*She drew them a map to the cave in Arvandor with the portal to escape to “the other world” Oerth!
*They went to Arvandor & found the secret cave area, went through secret passages to anti-magic cave.
*The group got a war update from Agaru that the purple dragon was killed after destroying a Thay city.
*Agaru also told them Linder used the weapon to destroy villages, leaving 1 person alive in each one.
*Mya, Me’urra, Darrian, & Agaru planned to use Linder’s wand that Me’urra had to scry on him.
*They realized they needed help stopping Linder since he had the ultimate weapon magic device.
*Ehlonna’s Avengers went to Silverymoon & met with the Harpers to get their help stopping Linder.
*Darrian found out the Red Wizards had been killing off his guild members to try go get at him.
*They scryed on Linder &, with the help of the Harpers, set a trap for him. It worked!
*The Harpers promised to protect the weapon & keep it out of the hands of evil forces.
*The group also planned to attack the Red Wizards with a bag of holding trap in the ruined city.
*Mya disliked the plan and walked away from her two brothers for a while.
*They realized that they really needed to leave this world or the remaining Red Wizards would kill them.
*Mya, Tiny, Me’Urra, Darrian, the Pixie Trickster, & Agaru decided to use the portal to Oerth.
*When they went through the secret portal, they damaged it from the other side & destroyed it.
*They found themselves in an abandoned temple of Ehlonna in an old cavern of some sort.
